The best Ayurveda Dubai has to offer
Ayurveda is India’s ancient medical system of healing, which originated thousands of years ago and is becoming increasingly popular around the world. Ayurveda means “Science of Life” (“Ayu” means “life” and “Veda” means “science”) and is a truly holistic medical system, treating the person as a whole, including the patient’s body, mind and soul and aims to prevent and cure disease in a comprehensive way.
According to Ayurveda’s basic principles, each person is made up of a combination of the five basic elements found in the universe: space, air, fire, water, and earth. These elements combine in the human body to form three life forces or energies, called “doshas.” There are three doshas, called the “Thridoshas,” which are “vata,” “pitta” and “kapha.” Each dosha is a bio-energetic force that governs our health and determines our body’s constitution. The Thridoshas exist within everyone, but one or two doshas will be dominant. In Ayurveda, it is important to maintain a balance between these forces, as many things can disturb the balance of energy, such as stress, an unhealthy diet or lifestyle, weather, and strained family relationships.
Disease is the result of imbalance. Ayurvedic practitioners prescribe treatments to bring the doshas back into balance. Ayurvedic treatments are individualised, using medicinal herbal combinations, specialised treatments, recommendations and alterations of a patient’s daily or seasonal regimen, diet and lifestyle to form a way of life to restore and maintain a patient’s well-being. With these treatments, the Ayurvedic practitioner restores balance for the patient’s Thridoshas and provides a plan to maintain balance to ensure the patient’s continued health and well-being.
